Born into a humble agrarian family, Mr. Pambavasan Nair’s life is a testament to how diligence, discipline, and an unyielding commitment to self improvement can shape an extraordinary destiny. From his early years, he was known for being studious, hardworking, and determined. These qualities laid the foundation for a remarkable journey from rural simplicity to global industrial leadership.

Today, Mr. Nair stands as an established entrepreneur, distinguished industrialist, and well-known philanthropist with over 38 years of vast experience. He is the Founder and Managing Director of the Amad Group of Companies, which operates multiple businesses in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia & India. For over 26 years, Amad Group has been a symbol of excellence in the Gulf region

With his immaculate vision and diligent expertise, Mr. Nair ventured into the industrial sector, establishing an automated switchgear factory in Bahrain in 2007, followed by another in Saudi Arabia in 2010. He made history as the first expatriate to set up automated switchgear factories in two different countries, earning admiration from the Kingdom’s rulers.

Even amid the challenges of COVID-19, Mr. Nair invested a significant amount to transform his Bahrain factory into a fully automated facility equipped with cutting-edge technology. Further expanding his business horizons, he is presently constructing the third manufacturing facility in the prestigious Saudi MODON Industrial Area.

Every year, on the auspicious occasion of Diwali day, the Bahrain Royal family visits Mr Nair’s residence to personally exchange Diwali greetings & spend some memorable time with the Nair family. The esteemed presence of the royal family & many prominent cabinet ministers of Bahrain is celebrated by the Nair family at their residence every Diwali.

Mr. Nair is immensely popular as a philanthropist in the GCC and India. For many years, he has been involved in social and charitable causes, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. Whether it is financial aid for medical treatment, sponsoring education, or constructing homes for the homeless, he is wholeheartedly committed to helping the destitute. He formed the CMN Trust - Chandramma Madhavan Nair Trust - named after his late parents. Over 125 families in distress are receiving monthly financial support through this Trust. During the pandemic, he even offered his hospital building in Kerala to the government for COVID care, as part of his social commitment.

On the auspicious occasion of his housewarming, he officially announced "A Home of Your Own" project, which aims to provide 50 houses to the underprivileged within 5 years time period. Driven by his vision and commitment, the project accelerated far beyond expectations, and all 50 houses were completed and handed over within just 24 months.

The state government formally acknowledged and appreciated his remarkable humanitarian work, and the last two key handover ceremonies were graciously inaugurated by the Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri V. D. Satheesan, and the Hon. Governor of Keralam, Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, respectively.

This year on 14th April 2026, he announced another charitable initiative named Anugraha Homes. Under this project, a total of 30 cents of land will be allocated to construct homes for 6 beneficiaries.

He introduced a solar powered streetlights project at Pudur Panchayath, Attappady to reduce human–elephant conflicts in the area. Also, he implemented a drinking water project for Thirunelli tribal hamlet, benefiting many tribal families.

Mr. Nair has received numerous honours, including the Swargeeya K.R. Narayanan Centenary Memorial Award, Times of Bahrain - Business Icon Award, KCA Pravasi Bharatheeya Golden Excellence Award, WMC Golden Global Business Excellence Award, Pioneers Leadership Excellence Award and KSCA Mannam Award. Most recently, he was conferred the Dr Mangalam Swaminathan Pravasi Bharatiya Excellence Award 2025, a prestigious national recognition for his exceptional service to humanity.

Mr. Nair is married to Kala Nair, and they are blessed with two children – Dr. Namrata, has completed MD in Dermatology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, and Vighnesh, an Electrical & Electronic Engineering graduate from the University of Nottingham, soon to begin his master’s.
